Dog Awareness Week
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Dog Awareness Week, which was launched by the Royal Mail with support from the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and runs from 4 to 9 July 2016; notes that dog attacks are a significant hazard faced by postmen and women and that the number of attacks can rise by 10% during the summer months; welcomes the steps being taken by the Royal Mail and the CWU to raise awareness of this issue, and recognises that postmen and women should be able to perform their working duties without fear of attack or injury.
