The motion

As an amendment to motion S5M-01669 in the name of Fergus Ewing (Securing the Interests of Scotland’s Rural Economy Following the EU Referendum), leave out from "and to ensure" to end and insert “, work out what its position is on leaving the EU, recognise that European markets and the free movement of labour are fundamentally important to the rural economy, and ensure that Scotland has a role in decision-making; further calls on the Scottish Government to end the current CAP payment distribution debacle, establish a review group to start developing options for agricultural support beyond 2020, and, in the intervening period, provide as much certainty and information as possible to farmers, crofters and the wider rural economy.”
