Speak Up For Monklands District General Hospital
The motion
As an amendment to motion S5M-01510 in the name of Elaine Smith (Speak Up For Monklands District General Hospital), leave out from "what it considers” to end and insert “the proposals by NHS Lanarkshire to reconfigure trauma and orthopaedic services on an interim basis pending the creation of single sites for trauma and for orthopaedics that will cover all of Lanarkshire; calls on the NHS board to ensure that there is absolutely minimum disruption to service provision for the communities served by Monklands Hospital as a result of this temporary reconfiguration; welcomes the commitment of NHS Lanarkshire to build a new Monklands hospital by 2023, and calls on the NHS board to ensure that the new hospital is designated as the site for the new, elective orthopaedic site for the whole of Lanarkshire.”
