Article 50
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes what it considers to be the historic moment on 29 March 2017 when the Prime Minister triggered Article 50; believes that, by leaving the EU, the UK will be able to negotiate new trade deals with the wider global community and will regain control over its waters, laws, economy and democratic processes; considers that this represents a great moment for more than one million people in Scotland who voted to leave the EU, and believes that the UK will remain a close friend and ally of its European partners.
