The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the PhD student, Marjorie Johnston, who studies at the University of Aberdeen, on winning first prize for a presentation of her research at the 15th World Congress on Public Health, which was held in Melbourne, Australia; recognises that Marjorie's presentation discussed her research into multi-morbidity using data collected from the Aberdeen Children of the 1950s cohort; notes that she was awarded AU$500 in book vouchers for Oxford University Press; understands that, on completing her PhD, she will undertake a dual role working for NHS Grampian in public health and carrying out research at the University of Aberdeen aimed at improving healthy ageing, and wishes Marjorie all the very best in her future academic and professional endeavours.
