Fisheries

As an amendment to motion S5M-05603 in the name of Peter Chapman (Fisheries), insert at end “; notes the importance of access to European markets for Scottish fish processing businesses; considers that fishing rights should not be traded away against other policy areas, an approach that has contributed to the common fisheries policy being remote, overly centralised and bureaucratic, and believes that the industry and other stakeholders must be involved in the development of a national plan for sustainable fisheries.”
