As an amendment to motion S5M-09927 in the name of Jeane Freeman (Building a Connected Scotland: Tackling Social Isolation and Loneliness Together), after "important consultation" insert "; recognises the importance of local government in delivering community services that tackle loneliness, and that austerity-driven budget cuts to local authorities reduce their capacity to do this".
