SWAYED
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the voluntary youth organisation, SWAYED, on reaching the finals in the Youthlink Scotland Awards for the Skills for Life Award; understands that SWAYED provides access to free and safe youth activities for young people from across the Southside of Glasgow; recognises what it considers the excellent work SWAYED does to ensure that young people have all the tools, skills and experiences that they need to make a positive difference and contribution to their communities by offering a number of programmes, such as G-Stars, which engages young people with the creative arts; recognises that SWAYED is in its 10th year and, since it was established, has grown to become the largest youth work provider across the south west of Glasgow, with programmes covering sports, arts and employability, and wishes everyone involved with the group all the best for the future.
