Fair Tax Mark
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the work done by the Fair Tax Mark, which certifies that companies pay the correct level of corporation tax in the correct jurisdiction at the correct time; notes the result of the polling carried out on behalf of the Fair Tax Mark, which shows that 71% of people in Scotland would rather shop with a business that can prove that it is paying its fair share of tax, and that 70% think that UK, Scottish and local government should consider a company’s ethics and how they pay their tax, as well as value for money and quality of service provided when awarding contracts, and calls on the UK Government, the Scottish Government and local government to look at ways of incorporating the Fair Tax Mark into public procurement.
