Month of Action on Modern Slavery
The motion
That the Parliament notes the Co-operative Party’s Month of Action on Modern Slavery from 13 September to 18 October 2018; agrees that there should be "no place to hide for modern slavery" in public sector supply chains; notes the unanimous cross-party support for the Charter on Modern Slavery at the City of Edinburgh Council; calls on the Scottish Government to support efforts in the public and private sector to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery, and hopes that other local authorities in Scotland will sign up to the charter.
