Green Economy Fund Awards for Edinburgh Projects
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Edinburgh projects that received funding from SP Energy Networks Green Economy Fund; understands that the Edinburgh World Heritage Trust will use its funding to improve the energy efficiency of the iconic 1960s Basil Spence Canongate housing development in the heart of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile; congratulates Saughton Park, which will introduce a micro-hydro scheme to power ground source heat pumps to produce electricity for community facilities, the Winter Gardens glasshouse, electric vehicle charge points and park lighting, and welcomes the news that the Green Economy Fund is open for a second round of funding aimed at helping communities to invest in low-carbon heating and transport technology while demonstrating measurable social or environmental impact.
