Queen's Nurse Award for Keri Ratter
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Keri Ratter on being awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse at a ceremony in Edinburgh on 29 November 2018; notes that the programme was reintroduced in 2017, following the last award in 1969, to ensure that the values of the past are meeting the needs of future communities; understands that Keri was nominated for providing high quality and compassionate care to people in Shetland; notes that she completed the nine-month programme, which is run by the Queen’s Nursing Institute in Scotland, by focusing her professional development on the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people; acknowledges that Keri is the lead school nurse of a team, which aims to have an accessible service for all pupils across Shetland, and wishes Keri and the team all the best.
