Santander to Close Bank Branches
The motion
That the Parliament condemns the closure of three Santander high street bank branches across the Lothian region in 2019; understands that branches are set to close are in Bathgate and Leith Walk and Morningside Road in Edinburgh; understands that this will cause problems for many customers especially those who are unable to access digital devices; expresses its solidarity with those will lose their jobs; considers that these closures will be detrimental to staff, customers and communities, and calls on the company to reconsider these branch closures.
