Women Drivers on the Move for First Bus
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates First Bus South East & Central Scotland on its recent recruitment day, which was aimed at women in particular and held at its Livingston depot; notes that the event was a great success, was well attended by local women and had friendly staff in attendance, including female instructors on hand to provide tuition, with attendees even getting the chance to try out driving a bus; thanks First Bus for providing such a fun, positive and encouraging experience at the event, and commends its commitment to increasing the gender balance of its workforce, particularly through the recruitment of women drivers, and its positive efforts in offering employment to people who are representative of local communities.
