Team Jak Livingston Secures Funds to Provide Increased Support to the Local Community
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Team Jak Foundation, a childhood cancer charity, on its recent award of £19,000 from the Scottish Children’s Lottery; commends its work in providing hands-on support and counselling to people affected by a diagnosis or treatment of a serious illness; acknowledges that the charity also supports siblings and parents of children who have been diagnosed, helping them in tackling the negative mental health challenges that can accompany major illnesses; notes that the grant will be used to expand staff, allowing the organisation to assist more children and families in the Almond Valley and beyond, and wishes it continued success in its endeavours.
