Donald MacLeod Inducted into Barrowland Hall of Fame
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the legendary music promoter and former chairman of Nordoff Robbins Scotland, Donald MacLeod, on his induction into the Barrowland Hall of Fame; consider that Donald is intrinsic to Glasgow’s live music scene, owning both The Cathouse and The Garage nightclubs, as well as securing and promoting top artists such as Oasis, Prince and Guns N’ Roses to play in the city; considers that Donald, as chairman and, latterly, chair of the Fundraising Committee for Nordoff Robbins Scotland, has been fundamental to the success of the charity and what it considers the illustrious Scottish Music Awards, which will celebrate 21 years in 2019; believes that Donald has made an incredible contribution to the live music industry, with a career spanning over 30 years, and thanks him for his outstanding enthusiasm and dedication.
