Harray Young Farmers Club Celebrates 80th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament notes that the Harray Young Farmers Club celebrated its 80th anniversary on 19 January 2019, having been founded in 1939; recognises that the celebrations marked eight decades of providing young people involved in Orkney’s West Mainland farming community with an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills; thanks all those involved with the club, both past and present, for the contribution that they have made to the local community and for helping to create a valuable legacy for the club; believes that the club epitomises the benefits that Young Farmers Clubs deliver both in Orkney and across the country, and wishes the Harray Young Farmers Club and the wider movement all the best for the future.
