Hermitage Academy, First in Scotland to Gain Investors in Young People Status
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hermitage Academy, which is in Helensburgh, on, it understands, becoming the first school in Scotland to gain the national accreditation, Investors in Young People, which is presented to organisations that are recognised for being committed to recruiting, retaining and developing their young workforce; acknowledges all of the hard work that has been put in by the staff and pupils in order to achieve this; recognises in particular, the work of Roseanne MacKay, who is the academy's depute head and led it through the process of gaining the accreditation; wishes the school all the best as it continues to aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the pupils, and believes that it is helping to lead the way as a first-class educator.
