Clackmannanshire Nurse Honoured for 40 Years of NHS Service
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Clackmannanshire nurse, Irene Warnock, on being honoured for 40 years of service in the NHS; understands that she was one of a number of staff whose careers were commended during a special award ceremony at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital on 25 January 2019; notes that, after receiving her Long Service Award, Irene said how much she has enjoyed every day that she has been a nurse; acknowledges that, when applying for the position 40 years ago, she had purchased a writing pad and sent a letter to every hospital in Scotland; notes that, once engaged in her profession, Irene went on to work in a number of roles, including as a staff nurse, district nurse and an advanced nurse practitioner, and wishes her the best for the future.
