Cathedral Primary School Promotes Internet Safety

The motion

That the Parliament commends the staff and pupils of Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral Primary in Motherwell for their recent work to highlight Safer Internet Day 2019; recognises that the school has Digital School Status and has worked with pupils and staff on how to manage their profiles online and protect their digital footprint; notes that the pupils, Rourke McShane and Sarah Allan, along with their teacher, Jaqueline McCulloch, were recently interviewed on BBC Radio Scotland’s Mornings with Kaye Adams programme to talk about their ongoing campaign to highlight the importance of using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively; recognises that Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation, and wishes all the staff and pupils at Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral Primary School well in all their future endeavours.
