NHS Lanarkshire Cancer Waiting Times
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates NHS Lanarkshire on, it understands, being one of the best performing boards in Scotland for cancer treatment waiting times; considers that NHS Lanarkshire consistently exceeds national waiting times standards; notes that the standards are that 95% of all patients will wait no more than 31 days from decision to treat to first cancer treatment, and that 95% of patients urgently referred with a suspicion of cancer will wait a maximum of 62 days from referral to first cancer treatment; understands that, for the 31-day standard, NHS Lanarkshire achieved 99.2%, and, for the 62-day standard, it achieved 95.7%; further understands that, while nine NHS boards met the 31-day standard, only one other board met the 62-day standard; considers that this is a great achievement for NHS Lanarkshire, and commends all its hardworking staff.
