Steve Davis Undertakes Kiltwalk Marathon
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Steve Davis from Kirkwall on donning his kilt as he seeks to undertake four kilt walks for four separate charities; understands that the 68-year-old will start by walking over 26 miles in Glasgow to raise money for CLAN Orkney, then Aberdeen, on behalf of Balfour Hospital Renal Unit, Dundee to fundraise for Orkney Deaf Children’s Society, before completing the final leg in Edinburgh in support of Crossroads Orkney; recognises that Steve hopes to raise a significant amount for the charities and give back to the community that he has lived in since moving to Orkney in the 1980s; wishes Steve all the best with each of the walks that he undertakes later in 2019 and the training leading up to them, and thanks him for his tenacity and drive in raising money for four very worthy causes.
