Pioneering Research into Artificial Intelligence

That the Parliament welcomes the creation of new highly-skilled jobs at Inverness Campus, as part of a project that uses artificial intelligence (AI); congratulates the project on being awarded a £1.3 million grant from the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK; notes the collaboration between Highlands and Islands Enterprise, NHS Highland and Corporate Health International to develop technology that will help the early diagnosis of diseases of the digestive tract; considers that this AI system will not only create job opportunities in the Highlands, but will also improve healthcare delivery, and wishes the project every success.
