West Dunbartonshire Community Police Organise Scam Awareness Walkabout

That the Parliament commends West Dunbartonshire community police and others who organised a walkabout to raise community awareness of bogus callers; acknowledges that this was in response to a 73-year-old Dumbarton resident recently being scammed out of four-figure sum; acknowledges that events such as this are not isolated; is impressed with the community’s commitment to raising awareness in order to protect older and vulnerable people from these incidents, and wishes West Dunbartonshire well with its efforts to protect its citizens from bogus callers.
