Mental Health Nurses' Day
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the inaugural Mental Health Nurses’ Day on 21 February 2019, which has been organised by the RCN's Mental Health Forum; notes that the day has been set up to encourage interest in mental health nursing as a speciality, partially in response to a drop in mental health nursing staff across the UK, provide an opportunity to tackle negative stereotypes surrounding mental institutions and highlight the rewarding nature of mental health nursing, which can often be omitted, and commends all mental health nurses on their commitment to providing outstanding care.
