Film Award for Screen Machine

That the Parliament congratulates Iain MacColl on being named the joint winner of BAFTA and EE’s "For The Love of Film" competition; understands that this award was launched to recognise an individual’s amazing contribution to the film industry; notes that Iain is senior operator of the Screen Machine, the UK’s only full-time and self-contained mobile cinema; further notes that the Screen Machine launched in 1998, has served more than 40 communities across the Highlands and Islands region, and saw its annual audience numbers pass 30,000 in 2018; welcomes the invaluable contribution that Screen Machine makes to Highland life, and wishes the company continued success in the future.
