Congratulating Kirkintilloch's Social Entrepreneurs
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates three entrepreneurs from Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, on being awarded funding from the Social Entrepreneurs Fund through Firstport, a charity that supports funding and resources to help start social enterprises in Scotland; notes that Stuart Fyfe secured funding for Community Mental Wellbeing Support, which works to deliver psychotherapy to people most in need across Scotland; acknowledges that Sophie LeJeune received funding for Society Zero, which aims to reduce domestic waste through opening a zero-waste shop in Glasgow; notes that Danielle McDonald secured funding for Make Kirkintilloch, which aims to improve mental health in the area by running craft workshops such as jewellery making, and commends these awardees, whose businesses it considers will help people and communities across Scotland.
