Befriend a Child
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Befriend a Child on raising £32,885 at its Peter Pan-themed Big Kids’ Ball 2019; understands that the event was held on 22 February at the Ardoe House Hotel; recognises that Befriend a Child supports disadvantaged and troubled school-aged children growing up in and around Aberdeen; agrees that every child deserves a happy childhood and a chance to succeed in life, and applauds the efforts of the befrienders and mentors, youth club and playschemes to “turn a frown upside down”.
