30th Anniversary of the World Wide Web

That the Parliament notes that 12 March 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the world wide web; applauds Sir Tim Berners-Lee for envisioning a unifying structure for linking information across different computers; recognises that, by 1991, his vision of universal connectivity had become the web; believes that the internet has transformed lives for the better, building knowledge and helping people address global challenges; considers that Scotland can thrive as a centre of technological excellence, and wishes good luck to everyone celebrating the Web@30.
