£983,600 Regeneration Grant for Cowie
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £983,600 grant from the Scottish Government's Regeneration Capital Grant Fund to the Cowie Regeneration Project; notes that this project will see a derelict shop on the Main Street of Cowie redeveloped to provide a community hub with a new two-storey building being constructed on the site for training and development and social and community activity, and a digital learning space for all ages; further notes that it will also include business start-up accommodation and will support flexible space for training and community activity as well as programmes for health and wellbeing and a social café for all ages; congratulates Cowie Rural Action Group, Cowie Community Council and Cowie Community Enterprise on their dedicated work in putting together the funding application, and thanks Stirling Council officers for their help during this process.
