Kerr Dental Practice Charity Trip
The motion
That the Parliament commends the staff of the Peebles-based Kerr Dental Practice on planning to travel to Bali to provide free dental hygiene education and screening services; understands that the trip will take place in spring 2020 and that the team hopes to screen over 2,000 children and their carers, which it considers an important goal as over 70% of young people in Bali are reportedly affected by tooth decay; notes that the trip is expected to cost £8,000 but that £1,500 of this has already been raised, and wishes the team all the best in raising the remaining money and helping the young people of Bali.
