Climate Change Funding for the Bannockburn House Trust
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £114,000 Climate Change Fund grant that has been awarded to the community-owned project, the Bannockburn House Trust; notes that the house, which was built in the late 17th century, was designed by Sir Hugh Paterson, and is believed to have been used as the headquarters for Bonnie Prince Charlie during the siege of Stirling and the Battle of Falkirk; commends the trust, which purchased the house in 2017, and understands that it will use this award to hire gardeners, grow vegetables and an orchard, reinstitute Victorian frames and purchase other items to further its work.
