St Thomas Aquinas in the Grassroots of Scottish Rugby
The motion
That the Parliament notes St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Glasgow Anniesland is competing in the SP Energy Networks Warriors Rugby Championship Qualifying Group 5; notes that the championship aims to grow grassroots rugby in schools across west, central and south Scotland, with each of the 25 schools taking part fielding teams from S1 and S2 boys and an under-15 girls’ team; further notes that the winners will progress to the semi-finals and final on the main pitch at Scotstoun Stadium, prior to the Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby match on 27 April 2019; considers that this will be a great experience for all taking part, and wishes the teams from St Thomas Aquinas all the best in the tournament.
