Summerston Boys Club in Maryhill Receives £500 Donation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Summerston Boys Club in Maryhill on receiving £500 from the Asda Foundation; understands that the foundation funds local projects through its Green Token Giving Programme, which gives customers the chance to vote for projects that matter most to them; understands that the club has established six new teams that are supporting local boys in the community to play football; believes that the club values the importance of a proactive approach in respect of its local community, and aims to contribute to the lives of young people between the ages of five and 16 via the sport, and notes that the money received will go towards purchasing new kits for the young people.
