ScotHot Food, Drink, Tourism and Hospitality Festival
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the wonderful performances by Edinburgh College staff and students at the recent ScotHot food, drink, tourism and hospitality festival; congratulates the 29 students and two college lecturers who travelled to the event in Glasgow where they won 18 medals, seven Merit awards and five Participation awards; applauds the victories in the categories of Street Food, Knife Skills, Fish Dish and Cake Decorating among others, clearly demonstrating the pipeline of talented individuals learning at the college’s Eh15 and Apprentice training restaurants, and highlights the work of 17-year-old student, Shannon McNeill, who was awarded a bronze medal in the Scottish Young Chef of the Year competition, in which she also won the Best Hygienic Working Practices category of the competition for which she will be awarded a trophy at the college.
