The motion

As an amendment to motion S5M-16710 in the name of Brian Whittle (Health Education), insert at end "; acknowledges that Trussell Trust figures show that 55,038 emergency food parcels were distributed to children in the 2017-18 period; recognises that food insecurity, driven to a significant extent by UK Government welfare policies, will severely impact access to appropriate nutrition in the early years, and calls on the Scottish and UK governments to do what they can to improve food security for children and young people."
