Creative Spaces Challenge 2019
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the latest Creative Spaces Challenge, which is being held for the 16th consecutive year in The Space at Dundee and Angus College on 22 May 2019; notes that the Creative Spaces Challenge is a competition that invites S2 pupils from secondary schools in the local area to participate in a day-long design challenge that has a direct interface between schools, further education and the world of design and construction, with successful schools being rewarded for their efforts with a £600 prize for the winners and £300, £200 and £150 respectively for the three runners-up, which is spent on projects that contribute to the creativity aspirations of the school; thanks Dundee and Angus College for being one of a series of continuous supporters that have helped give Creative Spaces a sound financial footing, and for making available its award-winning venue, The Space; congratulates the organisers on securing the participation of 26 secondary schools in Fife, Angus, Perth and Kinross, Dundee and as far afield as Lerwick, and wishes all the teams taking part every success.
