The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the establishment of West Lothian Council’s new anti-poverty task force; recognises that the central aim of the task force is to deliver on the objectives set out in the council's Better Off: Anti-Poverty Strategy 2018-19 to 2022-23; understands that the task force comprises council officers, local elected members, community organisations and community planning partners; believes that the launch of the group is indicative of the council’s determination to tackle poverty and inequality in the local area, and wishes the task force the best of luck in working to relieve the financial pressures felt by people across the county.
