Little Learners
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Little Learners from New College Lanarkshire launched STEM Lanarkshire on 22 March 2019; understands that children from the Cumbernauld and Coatbridge campus nurseries enjoyed an action-packed morning trying out interactive activities led by students at the college at the Step into STEM event; notes that STEM Lanarkshire provides support for teachers, lecturers and educational professionals across the region to engage young people in STEM-related subjects, and that organisers of the event recognise the importance of introducing these subjects at an early age to expose learners to activities that create a STEM mindset throughout the education pipeline, and wishes everyone involved in the event success with inspiring the next generation of scientists.
