Falkirk Peace Vigil
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the community-wide Peace Vigil to be held on Falkirk High Street on 6 April 2019 to show solidarity with the victims of the horrific attacks on Mosques in Christchurch and the wider population of New Zealand; recognises the efforts of the Falkirk Muslim Forum in organising this event with, it understands, speakers from all sections of the community of Falkirk district; considers that proactively highlighting peace, harmony and solidarity in communities is important in overcoming hatred and violence; stands in solidarity with all those affected by this atrocity, and supports all those who are working hard to tackle hate crime in Falkirk district, Scotland and across the world.
