Tracey Carty, Pie-making Contest Winner
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Tracey Carty, who is from East Calder, on winning a nationwide pie-making contest, which was organised by the pastry brand, Jus-Rol, to celebrate British Pie Week and to encourage the use of classic ingredients; recognises that Tracey's winning dish, a chicken and haggis pie in a creamy peppercorn sauce with a dram of whisky, relied on iconic Scottish ingredients with a twist, and commends Tracey on winning the £5,000 prize and what it sees as her innovation and brilliant showcasing of Scottish cooking.
