Chief Superintendent Gordon Crossan to Retire After 30 Years
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the work of the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Police Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Gordon Crossan, who has announced his intention to retire on 2 July 2019 after completing 30 years’ service; recognises that his career has featured leadership roles in many areas, including the Central Scotland Cyber Crime Unit and Criminal Investigation Departments in Fife and Edinburgh; understands that Gordon served as President of the Association of Scottish Police Superintendents before joining Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Police as Divisional Commander in 2017; acknowledges the invaluable service that he has provided through a career dedicated to improving the safety and wellbeing of people in Scotland, and wishes him good luck in his well-earned retirement and future plans.
