The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dumbartonshire Disability Sports Club (DDSC), Cove Park and West Dunbartonshire Gymnastics Club on being awarded a combined total of over £133,000 of funding through the Young Start scheme delivered by the Big Lottery Fund; welcomes that all three of the organisations will put this money to great use; understands that DDSC plans to work with young people aged 14 to 21 from the West Dunbartonshire area who have additional support needs to provide access to sports activities, coaching and development opportunities to become skilled leaders, volunteers and sports coaches; notes that Cove Park will use its funding to sustain and develop its Community Arts Programme across Argyll and Bute, Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire, which is aimed at young people aged between 8 and 18; welcomes plans by West Dunbartonshire Gymnastics Club to use its grant to widen access to gymnastics, specifically for children and young people living in areas adjacent to the gymnastics facility, and to disabled children and young people; wishes all three organisations all the best for the future as they put their money to good use, and thanks the Big Lottery Fund for its generosity to Dumbarton organisations.
