Flight Sergeant Robert Weddle Selected for Prestigious Flying Scholarship
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the 17-year-old Glenrothes cadet, Robert Weddle, who has been selected for the Sir Michael Knight Scholarship to work towards his private pilot’s license (PPL); understands that the scholarship is awarded to just six cadets across the UK, which provides 33 hours of flying training towards the PPL over a six-week residential course at Tayside Aviation in Dundee; acknowledges that candidates for the scholarship must be in the top 10% of those who have completed the Air Cadet Pilot Scheme, which had given Robert 12 hours flying culminating in a solo flight; wishes Robert the best of luck with the Sir Michael Knight Scholarship, and every future success.
