Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project (KASP) on being awarded funding to hire a young person’s worker to engage with 16- to 25-year-old survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the Kirkcaldy area; notes that KASP aims to address the detrimental effects of abuse, such as poor mental health, an increase in risky behaviours, such as drug and alcohol misuse, relationship difficulties and a reduction in their employment, volunteering and work opportunities, and hopes that the charity can make a positive difference to the lives of these young people.
