Fundraiser Receives Award for Turning Isle of Lewis Purple
The motion
That the Parliament commends Karen MacDonald for raising more than £21,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK; understands that Karen organised a purple ladies event, in which 60 people cycled and walked 50 miles around the Isle of Lewis; acknowledges the role that Pancreatic Cancer UK plays in supporting the 780 people that are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Scotland each year, and congratulates Karen on receiving the Star Award from Pancreatic Cancer UK for her outstanding dedication to fundraising and increasing awareness of pancreatic cancer.
