Maggie's Raises Funds for Another Year of Care
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Maggie’s Dundee centre for cancer rehabilitation patients has successfully raised £552,000 to cover running costs for another year; understands that this was achieved through Maggie’s Penguin Parade, which challenged families to find 80 one-off design giant penguin sculptures dotted throughout Tayside and Fife; further understands that the money raised allowed 13,500 people in 2018 to be helped by Maggie’s Dundee; recognises the significant role that Maggie’s Dundee plays in the local community, and encourages people to get involved with the centre’s 2019 fundraising efforts.
