Fife Sands
The motion
That the Parliament commends Fife Sands for the opening of a bereavement room at Victoria Hospital's maternity ward in Kirkcaldy; understands that the room will provide parents who experience the loss of a child a place of safety and comfort to grieve; notes that the room has facilities for partners to sleep over, soft and comforting textiles and catering facilities such as a fridge and kettle; recognises the difference that small details such as this can make to families going through the toughest of times; thanks the parents who raised funds to allow the facilities to be implemented, and encourages others to ensure facilities such as this are available in all maternity wards across Scotland.
