Orkney Takes Top Honours at Netball Scotland Competition
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Netball Orkney Under 17s on winning Netball Scotland’s Inter-District competition held in Perth on 27 April 2019; understands that the Orkney team won all its games in the group stages before overcoming Borders in a nailbiting semi-final that went to extra time; recognises that the 10-9 victory over Glasgow in a tense final was the first time that an Orkney team has ever won this competition, which includes top teams from across Scotland; acknowledges the high standard displayed by all of the teams taking part; applauds all of the players and coaches for their efforts, and looks forward to a bright future for netball in Scotland.
