CalaChem and Grangemouth Community Care
The motion
That the Parliament commends CalaChem on its recent donation of £2,500 to Grangemouth Community Care; understands that the business makes regular annual donations to this group, which provides vital services and support to older people in Grangemouth from its base at Talbot House in the town; notes that the latest donation will be used to meet transport costs of getting people to and from their homes to Talbot House to take part in lunches and other activities every week to help tackle social isolation, which is one of the charity’s main aims; recognises that CalaChem has been making these donations every year since 2015, and encourages other firms in Grangemouth to participate in similar initiatives.
